Dual intent LMIA temporary work visa

Hi all,

I have a job offer! The company is willing to submit the dual intent LMIA.

So my question, I'm a UK resident currently in Canada (visitors visa) living with my Canadian girlfriend (of 10 months). When checking the temporary work permit processing times on the cic website the processing time for 'where I'm applying from' is UK - 5 weeks and Canada - 10 weeks, I'm assuming there will be a potential 10 week wait because I'm in Canada? Or is the process different if it's part of a LMIA application?

You are in Canada as a visitor, so your application will go outside Canada and normally to the closer outland office which would be NY, and sadly this is not the fastest office, for a TWP can take 12 -16 weeks approx at this office (if the LMIA is approved of course)
