Hi all.

I was born in the USA, but my father was born in Iran. According to Iranian government, this makes me automatically an Iranian citizen, thus I have two passports. Should I photocopy my Iranian passport and birth certificate and send it along with my American passport and birth certificate?

Thanks so much

How can you have birth certificates from two countries?

To answer your question, yes, you should photocopy all of your documents.

Iran requires me to have a birth certificate from their country in order to me to have a passport. It's not a "real birth cerificate" per-se. It says I was born in the USA and blah blah--basically I need it in order to have my Iranian passport.

That's funny. You are automatically a citizen because of your father. But they won't let you have a passport unless you get a birth certificate - which they kind of force of you because of your father.

Oh well .. I guess it's not for me to understand.

:-)
