dual citizenship

i am a dual citizen of canada and new zealand..

i am planning to sponsor my wife who live in fiji.

i am going to see her soon.

here is my situation...my new zealand passport expired 10 years ago..and since my parents and in laws live in new zealand and australia i figured i can renew my new zealand passport...but the only 2 places i can renew are new zealand and australia.

now i am going to fiji for 2 weeks and new zealand for 2 weeks so i can renew new zealand passport over there.

question is that i will have 2 passports on me when i travel..wj that cause any problems as i board the flight from canada....plus do i have to tell folks at check in for luggage i have 2 passports

Use your Canadian passport, they don't care that you are a dual when you leave the country.

Believe it or not, an expired passport may cause some issues with respect to entry into NZ - you might have to explain the situation as an expired passport isn't valid despite your citizenship.

Your best bet is to confirm with the kiwi consulate prior to travel on best course of action for NZ entry.

It is safer to renew your new zeleand passport before you fly.

no body cares if you have 2 or 3 passports as long as all are genuine and nothing forged..no need to tell any one you have 2 or 3 passports. only tell if some one ask you

you dont even need a visa to enter nz while carrying canadian passport

on entry in nz if some one asks you, you can tell your nz passport is expired and you are willing to renew

renew your nz passport in nz ..its fine
