Hello everyone. Two questions:

I'm sponsoring my Korean husband OUTLAND and I'm currently living and working in Korea.

Application to Sponsor and Undertaking

10. Are you a Canadian citizen?

Yes. BUT THEN WHAT DAY DID I BECOME A CITIZEN? (the day I was born?)

Am I a permanent resident if I've been living abroad for 3+ years?

SCHEDULE 1 BACKGROUND DECLARATION for question #10. Education

My husband dropped out of highschool in grade 10 and entered the work force. He later completed his GED (6 month program) but I'm not sure how to document it correctly (in the highschool or secondary school column) or if I have the right time alloted to each. We have:

10 Elementary/ primary school 1 Secondary/ highschool 0 University/college 1 trades school
or other post
secondary school

2007/12 - 2008/05 GED Highschool graduate
1996/03 - 1997/02 Grade 10 complete

Please advise. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

Hi there!

You are a citizen (you are always a citizen even if abroad unless you renounce it) and if you are a citizen by birth then put the day you were born. I had the same thought but assured that this was the right way to complete that question. Just got my approval to sponsor letter through today, so can only assume it was right! :)

Not sure about the high school question, hopefully someone will be able to give you more answers!

School looks right, just be honest and specific.
