Guys, I learnt somebody can actually, rent U-haul, and move your personal effects from US to Canada,example drving from MN to Winnipeg.Does anybody has any experience?
I was also told that a record number of US citizens are moving or planning to emmigrate to Canada. I was amazed by the number of US citizens that Sat the IELTS with me. Why the trend ?

Why the trend? That's easy. The US is having an economic crisis and people are losing their jobs while Canada is absolutely fine. Besides, how do you know they were all citizens? Many US immigrants are also coming to Canada, not just because of the economy but also because it's a lot harder to get a green card in the US and even with a green card, many say it's not that easy to get citizenship and it takes a lot longer than in Canada.

I agree, the corrupt system and congress has failed the economy, I worked in a company for 15 years here in the US, no GC - on the top my 401K is shrinking. Every year the cost of medical goes up and very little raise. How am I going to survive??

From every perspective, Canada is the best country to live right now.

Leon: I specifically talked to 2 of them while in Dallas,not in details thou,while waiting for the test, we were just discussing and asked where they came from originally? both were from Texas.These are the test of the times.

If they were originally from Texas, why did they need to sit for IELTS? You don't need to take IELTS if English is your native language.

Guys,

IELTS tests are not only for the people to apply for Canada Immigration, but it is also for admissions in universities abroad like Australia, UK etc.

When I was taking a test, there were two (pure) Americans in the hall for the test, they were there to take Academic test not the general for immigration.

Academic is required for everyone based on the requirement where they are applying for, whether or not they are native and born in the US of A, UK or any English speaking country.
