Well...i have a question regarding driving in toronto during initial days...are we allowed to rent a car and drive it in and around toronto during our initial days of landing...(I have an indian driving license which is more than 10 yrs old)...I would highly appreciate if anyone can provide more information about it...I am planning to do my initial landing in June'10. I will be staying for couple of weeks in toronto and would like to rent a car to move around ( if I am allowed to do so with my Indian Driving License)...Peace

Sifarsen,

I've written about it on the 'Dubai Applicant's' forum. Check it out.

i visited toronto earlier this month
traffic here is very busy
i would suggest using subway in downtown as at some places in downtown parking is as high as 36 $ a day
n during pick hours it takes a large time to commute

Yes you are absolutely correct. Unaffordable parking fee in downtown. While I use subway and bus, I have to start very early to reach the place in time. We should have extra-ordinary patience!!
