Driver's Licence

My husband who I am sponsoring want to get his driver's licence.
He has never driven before. He is currently on implied status while we wait for stage 1 approval of our application. Will he be able to obtain his driver's licence while being on implied status?

the rules are dependant on what province you are in. you will need to look up how to obtain a driver's license in your specific province, and what required documentation (ie: proof of residence, residence status) is needed to get one.

If you live in Ontario, you don't need PR to get your driver's license. They will not ask about his immigration status at all.

All he has to do is pay the same fees and take the same tests as all other first-time drivers.
