Doubts regarding RPRF

Hi Everybody

I got doubts regarding the RPRF. I have heard from my friend that once a receipt come of your RPRF, within a couple of days your visa will be stamped. Has anybody got their RPRF receipt before getting their Visa stamped or before getting your passport OR has anybody really got any kind of receipt regarding this.

Actually, the RPRF Demand Draft will be cashed only when they are about to stamp your Visa, correct me if I am wrong. Anybody, please clarify my doubts on this. I had asked my Agency and they said it will come along with the Visa itself. All messages are really valuable. Thanks to all.

Check if ur dd is enchased with the bank for clarity. It is easy method.
I dont think so there will be a reciept . I may not be right .Because i am also in that phase.

i sent my rprf on 4th dec, rprf resceipt is 10-12-2009, DD encashed from P&SB New Delhi 24-12-2009, PP stamped after DD encashed

Thanks accounts. So they cash the DD only when they plan to stamp Visa, am I right. Then I definitely need to check with the bank whether the DD has been cashed, but will the bank reveal such informations. There should have been a site to monitor DDs also like we monitor courier consignments. Thanks a lot accounts. Any idea as to how much more should I wait. This waiting game is surely killing me. Thanks a lot once again.

U can check the status of DD with your BAnk...
Moreover i got the RPRF receipt on 11 or 12 december by ordinary post, separately

I guess i have to find out the harder way... W A I T.... Wonder whats the delay in CHC, New Delhi. Guess they got a lot of work over there. This is the 3rd week I am waiting for my Visa. Another family who had done medicals along with us got their visa on January 30, 2010. So from since that time, am expecting mine too. The wait is really frustrating.

You should be able to check with your bank if your DD's been encashed. Try calling them again. They are probably just lazy and don't want to do extra work. If they say no again to you demand to speak with the manager.
