Hi Folks,

Currently I'm on PGWP. Working with my current Employer since May 2018. Though my work permit issued on 17th July 2018. I'm working under NOC 1211 with permanent Full time position. Initially i was paid 36,500 and currently it is 40,000 per year with all benefits.

My current CRS points are 445 with IELTS L-7 R-7 S-7 W-6.5.

My questions are....

Is it good idea to do LMIA ?
or Should I wait for 2 year experience and take IELTS again ?
What are the chances of rejection of LMIA application ?

All suggestions acceptable.

Thanks in advance.

I'm in almost exact situation as yours. LMIA is your only chance of getting ITA.

My current employer is trying to get me LMIA but they said the risk is we don't meet advertisement requirements at all. They are trying to say at the time I was interviewed, I was hired right away and during the probation, I surpassed their expectations so they are just getting LMIA to support my PR.

So to answer your questions, LMIA is the only idea.
By the time you get 2 years experience, the CRS cutoff is through the roof.
I heard a lot from this forum that LMIA is really hard to get => high chances of rejection (that depresses me too).
