Doubts on my application

Hi All,

I am new to this forum. I have filed my application with CIC 2 months back. I have about 4.5 years of experience in NOC A for which i have accounted FSW points. I have been unemployed for last 2 months now. My questions are:

1) will my unemployment status hinder my application?
2) When i get the invite to apply, i would only be able to provide payslips for the last 3 months that i worked which would definitely not be latest.
-- should i state the reason why i do not have the latest month's payslip?
-- will this have any negative impression on my application?

Kindly provide your suggestions.

Thank you.

I am no expert but from my experience it will NOT hinder your application.

You will definitely have to declare it, as there is the request of providing your Personal History, but I do not believe it stops you from proceeding.

A similar situation would be with the payslips.
The unemployment itself will not stop you from being approved, but you should be able to provide 6 months of STABLE FUNDS in the amount required by CIC.

This should include bank checking account and savings statements, as well as any outstanding debts you may have, so that a balance can be established by the officers.
If you are able to prove that you still have the required amount stable for 6 months, I feel the unemployment itself would not be critical.

Anyway, I hope you be working again by the time you receive the ITA.

Payslips are not required.

Thank you for your suggestion! I had to resign as i had undergone a major surgery and i started working after a month of the surgery. Since i havent recovered completely, i wanted to take a break to recover fully! I have the funds ready for proof.

I might not start working for few months, so when i recieve my ITA, if they ask for the reason for my unemployment, can i provide this reason for the same?

Thanks again.

You need a reference letter, written by your boss/supervisor/HR, which mentions the dates of your employment, your job title, your salary, the number of hours you worked per week, and your roles and responsibilities.

I might not start working for few months, so when i receive my ITA, should I provide the reason for my unemployment ? would I be required to provide proof of my surgery for this?

Thank you very much!

Being unemployed doesn't matter; it makes no difference to your application, and you don't need to explain it.

But if you're on sick leave, you can't claim this time as work experience, even if you are still employed by the company.
