I have 2 citizenships, one by birth, and another by marriage. When I submitted my application, I uploaded both passports and specified which one I would like to use for the immigration purpose.

However, when I received biometrics letter, it was for a “wrong” nationality.
After reading on this forum I realised that IRCC disregards your preferences and process your application with the nationality by country of birth.
It changes nothing really, except that I would need to update info on myimmitracker.

Can someone confirm my theory?

Correct. You don’t get to pick.
