Hi,

I had made a gift deed from my brother in law, with spouse accompanying. The gift deed amount is almost half of my pof funds.

1. Can cic request donor's account statement before the funds were transferred to verify their source of income?

2. Should gift deed, cheque, deposit slip and recipient account statement be enough as pof?

3. Can gift deed from brother in law be accepted if the money is deposited in joint account with gift deed in name of his sister and her husband, who is the primary applicant ?

I would be grateful for an expert opinion and if someone has seen a similar case?

Did you submit your application with your brother in law as the donor of PoF? I'm in a similar situation and I would like to know if it is feasible.

Hi I have similar question
I will be taking money from my father in the form of gift deed
Do I need to attach his bank statement as well? If yes
Then for 1 month or 3 months?

Hi there, I asked the same question in the forum before. The answer I had, which is logical, is that you don't have to provide the IRCC with anything from your donor's bank account, because he/she is a third party and his bank account is private. Thus, the IRCC has no right to dig in his privacy and ask about his/her account.
