Done biometrics however still haven't had confirmation for stage 1 of the study permit

Hi Everyone,

My friend applied in July, she just got her biometrics done last week. However, she has not received any notification about being accepted for the first stage of the student visa. The biometrics appointment is part of stage 2, so she is very confused as to why she hasn't received confirmation for stage 1.

Has anyone else experienced this?

My brother is in the same boat. He did the biometrics on Aug 21. Profile says biometrics completed. No updates yet since then or letter for first stage but I read somewhere that the two stages will all work for those who applied before March. Has she done medicals yet?
