Help please....:)

I'm well experienced in Graphic design area. I have more than 7 yrs of experience.
(age 35) and Looking to apply NOC 5241.
I have Diploma in Graphic Design, Photography, Computer Hardware and my Bachelor Degree is BCA.
Local immigration agency says these Diplomas are not accepted in Canada and
I need minimum a Bachelor Degree for applying this category.

I do not have a Graphic Design / Multimedia Degree here.

So my Question is,
is it possible me to apply for immigration as skilled worker category
NOC 5241 (Graphic designers and illustrators) with my BCA Degree?

My only work experience is as Graphic Designer and no Programmer experiences.

Yes.

In addition, during that period of employment, the applicant must have

  • performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(b)]; and
  • performed a substantial number of the main duties, including all of the essential duties, of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(c)].
Note: The applicant does not need to demonstrate that they meet the “employment requirements” listed in the NOC occupational description.

Hi DelPiero07
I have couple of Questions regarding this?

Is these any minimum pass out duration for Education (Bachelor degree) ?
I have no such duration to mention because I'll be getting my certificate shortly.

My experience before that and freelance experience along with degree, are they valid?
As I mentioned in main post, I started working after my diplomas, but I cant include
diploma in education because of recognition issues.

No idea what you're asking in your first question.

Your work experience is valid as long as you can prove it - reference letter, pay stubs, etc.

I mean, is there any minimum duration between the Degree pass Date and immigration applying Date ?

Hey, I am might be wrong, be in the guidance there is nothing about it. I also think that the purpose of showing your education in this case (in general for FSW) is just to show that you actually have a degree and can adapt easily.

And about minimum duration - I think you need to actually have your certificate to apply for verifying. I, personally, still awaiting a graduation ceremony.

However, Id like to see what other more experienced members will say.

Hello members ,,

I'm in the same case. I'm a graphic designer and my educational certificate was in English translation . So please any one has an accurate answer about this case
