Does US Company Work Experience Count Towards PR?

I am from Hong Kong living in Toronto on an open work permit. I potentially qualify for the Permanent residence pathways for Hong Kong residents. However, while in Canada, I didn't have a Canadian job, but US jobs I did from Canada remotely.

The companies do not have a presence in Canada. Does this experience count towards my hours needed for PR?

It would count as foreign experience.

No. That doesn't count for the work experience for the HK pathway.
You need to accumulate Canadian experience. (may be find a part time job with enough hours to qualify if you want to maintain your US job income.)
Remember to file your US income if you are a tax resident of Canada. (and likely you are)
