Hi,
I have a couple of questions regarding the unemployment and its impact on the citizenship application.

1- I need to know how the citizenship application will be treated if a PR immigrant has completely fulfilled the 1095 days physical residence requirment with a day or two as a buffer (he/she made only one short trip outside Canada for few days). But inspite of all the active job hunting done, he/she didn't have a job for most of the time during these 1095 days. He/she got only one or two chances of temporary job for a total of few months only out of the whole 1095 days and he/she didn't recieve any financial assistance from the Canadian goverment and lived on his/her savings all the time.

2- Please advise how the question 6F " work and education history in the past 4 years" must be answered . I mean what to write exactly regarding the unemployment periods.

Dear seniors and experts, your advice is highly appreciated.

NO..it won't affect in anything. It 's not relevant whether a person has worked or not…..' working in canada ' is not a requirement to acquire citizenship. The law says you need 1095 days physically in canada. ( and some other details that explains on cic website). So dont worry about that part.

Just fill out the form exactly how it happened, the days the person was unemployed and periods where they worked. You can attach a paper and explain why she didn't work and how she maintained financially in canada…

Please read the Q6F carefully as it says to mention exact dates of unemployment.
For unemployment you can use the following method:

From To Work/Education Employer or school attended
yyyy-mm yyyy-mm yyyy-mm-dd to yyyy-mm-dd Unemployed due to xxx reason

For employment you can use the following option:

From To Work/Education Employer or school attended
yyyy-mm yyyy-mm work (designation) name of employer

For education you can use the following option:

From To Work/Education Employer or school attended
yyyy-mm yyyy-mm education (name of course) name of school/institute/college/university attended

maybe or maybe not, no one knows. However, unemployment can be one of the factors for RQ.
However, cic officer assesses overall file to determine if RQ is required or not.
You can google search for "RQ" reasons.
