Hi guys!
Im an overexcited new PR lol hubby and I were reading about next step (citizenship). As far as I knew, its around 3 years after receiving PR CARD and staying an amount of days in Canada. I have 5 years in Canada prior to PR and never left the country.
Hubby find out this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/become-eligibility.asp
specially this:
"Time you have lived in Canada
You must have resided in Canada for at least three years (1,095 days) in the past four years before you apply. This does not apply to children under 18.
You may be able to count time you spent in Canada before you became a permanent resident if it was during the past four years.
Use our online tool to find out if you have lived in Canada long enough to apply to become a citizen."
In which situations can this apply? I mean. if I can count the time living in Canada before becoming a PR, well... that means that I can apply for citizenship right away?
It isnt clear,
sorry if this has been already ask, thanks for your help.
