Does the sponsor need exams to or just principle applicant?

I am a Canadian citizen sponsoring my American wife. It says "all your family members must pass a medical and backround check"

Family members:

"spouse or partner" < does this mean i need to get a medical and backround check aswell as my wife? I am the sponsor.

Just the applicant needs to undergo medical exam.

Nursegabo is correct. Only the PA needs to undergo a medical.
