Hi guys . I did my upfront medical in march 2015 and I'm expecting ita in the first week of nov . As per the cic website , medical is valid for upto a year .but on the express entry page , it says the medical must be valid for 6 months at the time of application. What's that suppose to mean ? Please any input is appreciated . I did my medical on 20th March 2015 so is it still good to apply?

Yes, your Medicals need to be valid for atleast 6 months when you file in your E-APR which is after you submit all documents post ITA.

Medicals are indeed valid for 1 year. And you need them to stay valid till you 'land' in Canada. Under EE, that process can take up to 6 months or longer from the time you submit your application. Which is why CIC insists that your medicals be not more than 6 months old during submission. You might not get refused if your medicals aren't valid for more than 6 months at the time of submission but you might have to repeat them anyway in case your medicals expire before you 'land' after getting your PPR. In your best interest, redo the Medicals if they are more than 6 months old at the time of application submission.

If the doctor disagrees, explain this to them. If they still disagree, find another clinic.

All the best!
