Can any one be courage enough to answer this?

I have a very simple question.

Does the immigration officer - who will be dealing with my citizen application - have access to my travel record through the border services system?
In other words, will this immigration officer double check the dates of entries -which I put in the application - with the official records? and then later with the stamps in my passport? or does he take the dates in my application as the main ones and later verify it with the stamps in my passport?

I have the impression that they dont, can any one confirm this information to me please.

Its a simple yes or no question, no tricks here or any bad intentions. and I know that if the officer has doubts he will do everything he/she can to verify dates but initially will he/she? or do they have access to the boarder service system and records of entries?

Thanks

I am sure they have access to the records if they want to but they might not check them in every case.

If you are not planning on any tricks or having bad intentions, just tell the truth and then you wont have a problem.

They probably can. But I think there is a legal process to be followed. They will need to request from different government department CBSA which has that information. It will take some time. If any immigration officer have doubts regarding the veracity of the dates, they can give you RQ. Then the burden is on you to prove that the dates are correct. Lately I think I have seen in some forum that people are asked to submit Border entry/exit records from CBSA and US CBP as part of RQ.

I believe during test, the official might check the dates on passport and the dates on application.

In summary, I don't think the immigration official check entry/exit records for all the applicants. But it depends on case by case basis. If an applicant is attending some universities or school in Canada and has evidence to show that. Let's say the applicant mentions that he/she has visited abroad for short period during breaks. They will generally trust if the dates mentioned in the application does not necessarily stand out. But if the applicant shows that he is working for some small unknown private company and the supporting evidences are not that solid, the officials will scrutinize.

Border entry/exit records are bound to be incomplete. I have crossed the border several times w/o even presenting any identification. If the immigration judge requests these records they should not rely on them to determine precise dates of entry and exit. Perhaps they may use them to establish a pattern of travel, but relying on these records to prove presence on this or that side of the border on a given day is highly spurious.

That's absolutely correct. The Border entry/exit record might miss some entries. The agent may skip swiping the PR card if there is a long queue. The machine might be down or unavailable.

I have few entries missing on my record(ICES TRAVELLER HISTORY - ATIP TRAVELLER PASSAGE REPORT). Fortunately for me, I have the entry recorded in my vehicle record(ICES TRAVELLER HISTORY - HIGHWAY PASSAGE REPORT) or have the stamps on my passport.

The best option is to save all the documents like boarding passes, tickets along with other supporting documents like credit card statements. It seems like a lot of people are getting RQs nowadays.
