Does the Common Law partner also have to fill out IMM 5257 for my visitor Visa Extension?

that is new or is it always with the application visitor visa?

and another question:
Purpose of visit?

should I click Tourism or Others?

My Visitor Visa ends end of march but I will send my application for Common Law Sponsorship end of march as well because the medical will be done middle of march! So I will not have send the Application for Common Law when I apply for visitor extensions .. will it be alright? will I get the Extension???

I think well I read it is only for outside of Canada application so I am inside so I don't need to fill it out or my partner!

but it is on the list of documents under optional!
