Does spouse need to travel with principal applicant

I apologize if there is a post similar to my post but I checked the forum and couldn't find an answer.

My husband received his passport with copr. We are living in Dubai currently. He is travelling to Canada in 2 weeks. Do I (the sponsor) have to travel with him to Canada for his first landing or is he permitted to enter without me?

Just to add officer have right to ask about your settlement plan if you sponsored your spouse from outside canada
