Does self employment trigger RQ?

1) About to apply in May from Montreal for Citizenship
Never had a job since landing and starting a small business a year and half ago
Does this trigger RQ?

2) since RQ extend the time to over 5 years, will I be able to renew the PR card for another 5 years if it expires during the long wait ?
