Hello, I am currently on a PGWP and meet the eligibility criteria for OINP's international student stream. The stream guide states that "you must apply to IRCC for a work permit (if applicable)", so does this mean that I would receive a closed work permit for my current employer and my PGWP would be revoked?

No. Your PGWP is not revoked. Your employer is eligible and supporting your nomination and filling out the employer forms.
No. It is based on a job offer and your employer is going to all that trouble to fill out the forms, possibly be interviewed by OINP and be asked to submit CRA/taxation schedules, hiring practices etc.
