Does Passport Renewal affect Post-Graduate Work Permit?

Hi all,

I had my 2 years and 11 months PGWP and it expired in June 2019 due to my passport expiration. If I get my new passport then I am eligible to extend my PGWP one more month to July 2019. However, I am going to apply PR (express entry) this month and I hope I don't need to extend my work visa in future. Let's say I get my PR before WP expiration.

I am going back to my home country for 1 month vacation soon and I am thinking to renew my passport back there.

If I renew my passport, do I also need to renew my working permit again? I am not going to extend my working visa for extra 1 month but can I still use my old working permit with my new passport?

you have to travel back with the new passport and old one.

so if i keep my old passport, I can renewal my passport without renew my working visa right? Do I need to inform CIC about that?
