Hi,

I had received PT invite in August 1st week. Then my CRS was 402. Afterwords I sent my application, and it was delivered on 10the Sept 2015. However till date I did not receive AOR. This week my CRS came down below 400, due to change in age( I became a year older). So I am not sure will Ontario consider my application or reject it.

Any idea/suggestion?

You have to maintain acores above 400 during the process so i would suggest attempt another ielts to bump your score a bit

Thanks. I checked the official application guide for Ontario nomination program, and its mentioned "It is your responsibility as an applicant to ensure that you update your information in the Express Entry portal if there is a change in your circumstances so that your CRS score is accurately calculated. If a change in circumstance results in your CRS score falling below 400, it is your responsibility to inform OINP."

However they have not mentioned how a candidate can contact them. Any idea how one can communicate with them to inform that CRS has come down below 400 due to change in age.

You can fill update/change in circumstances form available on ontario govt page and send it to them through fax/email/postal mail.

However, its better if you can try to keep your score above 400 in order to not loose your $1500 application fee.

Thanks Rafzy, Even if I register for IELTS i will not be getting a exam date so soon. It usually has to be booked in 1-2 months in advance. And I am not sure will they forfeit my application fee even in case of not sending AOR, and CRS falling below 400 due to age factor. Any action I take to push back my CRS above 400 mark, will take atleast 60 days, and Ontario processing time is 90 days, so unsure what will happen, and whats the best thing I can do.

Maybe you can polietly request them to return your application along with the fee draft.
Some applicants got there draft and application back from them.

mention the age variation in your EE profile and intimate about the same to Ontario Human Capital Priorities Stream through email; Emphasize upon your age at the time during which you sent them the courier :), I assume they would consider :)

Currently they are vry slow in processing applications. People who submitted there application in june still waiting for nomination i mean late june. So you still have two or may be more months to boost your score. I would suggest try finding a date asap for ielts.

Thanks,I am working on it. Hope they don't reject my application in the meantime. By the way once my get my new IELTS score and update the same in my express profile, do I need to notify Ontario Nominee Program? If yes, by what means? Please guide.

I had read on their website that age on the day of receiving your ITA counts. Not after and certainly not before.

Do it if your new IELTS score keeps your CRS score above 400. You can email them the new IELTS test form with the signed update form but only after you've received a file number/acknowledgement from them, which might be some time in November.

This is the form: http://ontarioimmigration.ca/prodconsum/groups/csc/@oipp/documents/document/oi_0161e_chg_per_info_pdf.pdf

Hi Kovthe,

No need to worry, as OINP gives relaxation for CRS if it comes down because of age. I had confirmed this twice by calling OINP office.
