hello, me and my wife live in madrid spain for over 2 years we want to start our sponsorship aplication, beacause she is not living in her country the application will be processed through argentina, where she is from.

1. Can she put her address in buenos aires, argentina in her application and then if all is well just pick her visa up in argentina where the visa will be issued?

hopefully i explained myself good enough

thanks

If your spouse was admitted to Spain for at least one year, you can select Paris as the processing office. Otherwise it is Buenos Aires and if there is an interview she will have to attend it there.

hi, so when you say admitted you mean LEGAL, being legal for 1 year, OR do all the paper work through argentina and if she does get called then she would have to go to argentina.

thanks alot,

No, it doesn't mean being legal for one year - it means having been initially admitted to Spain for a period of at least one year . . . regardless of how long she's actually resided there. If she was not admitted for a period of at least one year on entry to Spain, her application cannot be processed through Paris, and would be processed through the visa office that represents her country of birth.

If you're saying she's from Argentina, then if she wasn't legally admitted to Spain for a period valid for at least one year her application would be processed through the visa office in Buenos Aires and, if an interview is required, she would have to attend it at that visa office. At the end of the process she would submit her passport to the visa office in Buenos Aires to receive her Confirmation of Permanent Residence. She does not have to be living in Argentina in order to have her application processed there.
