Does my legal name, or the name I go by matter for immigration purposes?

Hi,

I recently got a job offer from a company,
and I'm thinking to apply for PNP while I'm at this company.

The thing is, I go by Pheobe(Rachel) Buffay in my company and that's the name I used when signing the paper. But my legal name is Rachel Buffay.

Do the officers care a lot about which name I go by strictly?

Or it doesn't matter really which name I use for the immigrant purpose?

For example,

Pheobe(Rachel) Buffay, Rachel(Pheobe) Buffay, Pheobe Rachel Buffay

Will all these three regarded as the same?

Thanks,

You have to use the name that's on your passport. If you ordinarily go by a different name, you would answer 'yes' on the forms where it asks whether you've ever used another name (nickname, maiden name, alias) and you can enter the name you usually go by.
