I was just invited and I am filling out my application.
My daughter and girlfriend were born here in Canada.
I had to write down my girlffriend's passport but my daughter does not have one yet.
The application is asking me for a government ID for my daughter. Can I use her health card?
Thank you

I would suggest you use her Canadian birth certificate.

You should not include any Canadian citizen in your application, except for on the additional family form. The form is only for the applicant and accompanying family members.

You should include a letter of explanation that your common-law partner and child are already Canadian citizens, and include scans of their proof of citizenship (birth certificate or passport).

The questionnaire asked me what my status was and if I had dependents. I said yes but I said that they would not be accompanying me. I am surprised they asked about them.
