Hi
I am PR in canada since 2 years, I came with my husband but we got separated and filed a divorce and got that, now I am seeing a man, and going to marry him soon in few months but in past he was deported from london due to overstay so after a marraige when I will submit his spousal PR application will there be any problem?

Please guide me.

Depending on the length of the overstay, it's possible the overstay and deportation may cause IRCC to examine your relationship more closely to make sure it's a genuine marriage. Make sure you provide strong evidence of your relationship in the application. Also, make sure you are 100% honest about his past immigration history, including the deportation.

When you say seeing each other do you mean spending time in person? Would really encourage you to have as much time in person together over multiple trips to help get sponsorship approval.

UK normally deports someone for the period of 10 years depending on the nature of crime. If that period falls prior to his PR application. He may need to declare it. Failing to declare will lead to refusal of application if Canada comes to know this by its own security. Remember UK, Canada, USA, Australia and NZ share information through the agreement called Five Eyes.
