Does letter from family and frinds need to be notarized? (spousal)

hello to all i need some help in this matter please help

1. does letter from family and friends need to be computerized or hand written?

2. does it need to be notarized if am in spousal application?

3.how many do i need to submit for this letter?

4. is there a format on this or is this a heart letter from family and friends ?

1 - It can be either. But if handwritten, just make sure it's very neat/legible so no problems reading it
2 - For married spouses, no letters need to be notarized
3 - Amount is up to you. You can submit none, or over a dozen if you like. It all depends how strong your application is, and how many testimonials you think you need to convince the VO it's a genuine marriage
4 - Any format is fine. Just make sure it has the writer's full name, address and phone number.

For what it is worth, I only used one testimonial in our application, from my sister. That is all I have for family I can rely on, and I had her get it notarized for me, but then again I am paranoid I don't think it is necessary but I am open to being proven wrong.
