does it cause delay if I change my job?

Hello everyone, I'm currently applying for BCPNP and I am a April 2014 applicant who got MER and waiting for IP. Now another company offers me better pay and better opportunity to grow in my field. I am considering this chance very seriously. I had asked pnp office they say i need to send the application and company info to BCPNP office and I have to wait for their approval in order to take the job offer.The new company who offers me the job had prepared all the documents for me. My concerns are:
1, I heard right now new applicants wait 5 months to get approval. Do I need to wait for that long as well if I had previously been approved before?
2, does it cause delay in Ottawa if I change my job right now?
