Does International student need to pay taxes for part time job?

Hi,

So I'll be joining my course in September and will be searching for part time jobs either off-campus or on-campus. Since I am not well-versed with the whole tax system of Toronto. I was wondering:

• Do I need to pay and file income tax on the part time job I might do (20 hrs per week)
• Is there a condition where a minimum salary amount I don't need to pay i.e. I assume I'll be getting minimal wages which would be regarded non-taxable??
• In that sense I need to create SIN (new term I just learnt but still not sure)

Would like to hear experts and current students advice on this. How did you guys go about with this and do I need to know additional information on it.

If you receive minimum wages or less than that in your bank account, you must pay taxes as you are doing part time work, which is considered as a part time work experience as well as it will also help in when you will going to apply for PR
