I work as an insurance agent. According to CIC website it is classified as NOC B. However I'm independent contractor. In this case, is it a problem?

Yes. Independent contractors are self-employed, and self-employment is specifically excluded as Canadian work experience.

If you do have more of an employer-employee relationship - you work for a SINGLE company (even if you are paid on commission), it is possible (but difficult) to argue you are in a de facto employer-employee relationship.

Ok. So in this case, is there any another category that I can fit for immigration purposes, working as a self employed/ independent contractor?
