Does getting a scholarhsip boost your chances of getting a visa?

Hi...

I will apllying for scholarship at Humber as I got a form from them to apply for one. If this come through will it push my chances of getting a visa more easily?

definitely yes.
BUT
this doesn't mean you will for sure get the visa, you still have to prepare your application to best of your knowledge and convince the VO that you will leave their country at the end of study period.

hey dude..i too got approved for humber jan'13 intake. will be applying for scholarship soon.
my course is Project management. whats course did u get?

You meant "hey dudette".. well I got thru the GBM program for Jan 13 intake. Better apply soon as last date for receiving your application is Oct 12th... and they will let us know by Oct 29th. I anyways paid the first year fee today! So will be applying for visa in the first week of Nov once i know about the scholarship so i can attach that as well along with the visa.

My program is of 1 year. i paid my fuull fees and applied for visa. Dun know whether or not i wud be refunded if i get a scholarship.

suggest you to please apply, if you get the scholarship it will definitely be adjusted to your tuition fees.! Even i paid my first year fees yesterday.

Thanks... am worried, hope it comes thru cos my case is a bit diff already did my masters in communication studies and got 4 years work ex in advertsing, PR, branding and marketing communications. Pursuing the GBM program at Humber. Also my husband is applying for an OWP along with me. So fingers crossed it comes thru. Will surely let you know and i am there.. will def touch base with u! Lakeshore Campus right?

Na.. i would be at North Campus ( Project Management ). but wud be living close to lakeshore campus (downtown toronto). nd dun worry...u ll get thru..
