Does employment during the 1 Year work permit after 1 Year PG count?

Does employment during the 1 Year work permit after completion of 1 Year PG diploma count towards the 1 year of Skilled work experience for FSW category or CEC?
The 1 Year PG diploma is a Co-op program where 8 Months is STUDY and 4 Months is CO-OP INTERNSHIP.
So, is the Post graduate Work Permit good for 8 Months or 1 Year?
Do I have to apply for the PG work permit or Do I get it automatically from the relevant authority?

Is there any exception by which the 1 year PG diploma be extended? If so for how long?

Skilled employment experience (NOC level O, A or B) on a post-grad work permit would count, but the problem is that the 1 year diploma does not count toward the education requirement.

You would need 2 years of employment to qualify under the temporary worker stream.

1 year of work or study in Canada in any form will count towards your one year in Canada requirement for FSW category 3. For CEC, you would need 2 years of skilled work or 2 years of study and one year of skilled work. A PG work permit needs to be applied for after graduation. If the study permit is given for one year for a one year program, I think the PG work permit would also be given for one year. You can not extend a PG work permit. The only chance to stay is either get PR or get the employer to apply for an LMO and a regular permit.
