does ecas update after file transfer?

Hi everyone. does the e cas update after the file has been transfered to local office.
I have seen some members comments( ecas doesn't update after file transfered to local office). I need give 3 weeks notice to my work if I want to take off otherwise my job is in question. Any advice would be great.


My file got transferred on 21st may.

I dont knowif ecas updates for local office transfer but you will have more than 3 days of notice for your test if that is what you are wondering.

You will have three weeks if you keep checking ecas and your mailbox. They may send the physical test letter first then update ecas later. So you should be OK. You may be couple a days short. I don't think any employer would fire you for it. If they did and site this as a reason you can sue them.

I will keep checking my mailbox and my ecas in regular basis. So I wont miss it

and am checking my e-cas three time a day and checking post every day and calling
CIC every three days. No progress.. waiting since January 2012. 41 months...

For some people e-cas updates after the file gets transferred to the local office and for some people the e-cas does not update after the file transfer to the local office.


You can get the test letter as early as 3-4 weeks before the test and as late as 2-3 days before the test.

In my case, I received the letter 2 weeks before the test.

My e-cas did not update and I have already completed the test/interview and waiting for oath however, e-cas is still showing file transferred to the local office.

You should monitor your physical mailbox everyday to make sure you don't miss any mails from CIC.
