Does CRA keep track of employment dates?

Can IRCC know the exact date of end of employment through the CRA? Asking because as a student I was hired as a research assistant on a contract with flexible hours (meaning no specified end date, it could go as long as it took me to finish the research) and received a lump sum advanced payment for this particular job in March while I actually finished the research at the end of June (thus I declared I worked until June on my PR application)
