Does citizenship application goes month- month backdate when accumulating days?

Hello -

As we all are ancipatingly waiting for C-6 approval this Fall. I would be interested in knowing how months are taken into account while accumulating days for citizenship application. For e.g if C-6 becomes effective I would be in position to take 1 year credit from my stay of 2012 and 2013 before getting PR in 2014 but not sure how months play a role in this. In case, C-6 is approved in mid of 2017 then I would only be able to make my application after June 2017. This way when considering past 5 years will it be from June 201-June 2017? It means I will loose some of time from my stay and will fall short of physical day presence.

Opinions, are highly appreciated.

That's correct. Anything outside of the 5 years period will be ignored. And, just to be clear, that's 1825 actual days.
