Hello,

Guys

Some 'lawyers' are claiming that they can get an open work permit for the limited number of years (2 years) without any LMIA or without any employer letter. Have you guys heard anything like that?

What I knew is that you can either get a closed work permit with employer sponsoring you and then your spouse gets an open work permit. But some people are claiming that they can get an open work permit for 2 years. Has anyone heard or experience anything like that?

Thanks.

That might be IEC/WHV. You don't need a lawyer to apply for those.

Lawyers don't have special privileges. Anything they can do - you can do on your own. Agreed they may be referring to the IEC/WHV program.
