Does anyone know if cic ever contact applicants by phone? For example, if there is a problem with your application, will they call or email or mail? As far as I know, cic only contact by email mostly or mail. So, just want to make sure if cic ever contact people by phone?

Mail or email. If they ever phone, they will NEVER, EVER, ask for any form of payment. There is a phone scam going on when people claiming to represent Immigration call and ask for urgent payments. Just hang up if this happens to you. Don't pay any attention to any threats that they make. Even the incoming phone number is faked to look like CIC.
