Does Birth Certificate issued by embassy works?

Hey guys please drop few lines, as its very hard for my parents to go to my birth place due to political turmoil. Is it ok, if I issue it from Embassy.
Please share your experience.

Although birth certificate is required as per the list of documents but still it can be dispensed with in the absence of the same for the applicant and spouse. For the chindren it is must.
DOB of applicant is incorporated in many documents - like passport, PCC, education documents.
For your comfort I am telling you that I never filed any birth certificate and I am through.

Yes u can make a birth certificate thru consulate showing ur original passport and it is valid.
