Hi,

Based on what other members have posted (including biometric applications), the TRV decision in your case seems to be taking unusually long (London VO).

We've seen quite a few people who got TRV decisions in even one day (London VO).

If you have confirmed flight tickets, you can send a Case Specific Enquiry..... stating you can provide any additional information/documents to help make an expedited decision

Hope this works for you

It would've helped if you had included a marriage certificate + other proofs that you live together.

There's nothing you can do about this now. So I would try not to worry about it.

When is your scheduled flight departure?

Yeah i didnt think about it at that time. Anyway lets see.
All the docs have my name too. Also the car renting one.
Flight departure is in august 30 so we do have enough time even if it hets rejected to apply once more. So do you think we should wait and not to contact them now?

As your flight is booked for August 30, sending a CSE (Case Specific Enquiry) at this point may not help.

I suggest you should wait until July week 2 or 3

Thanks Bryanne. I will wait but can you maybe explain me why sending a CSE will not help the case? Is it because the departure is 2 months away?

A CSE would help if the processing time has exceeded the stated processing time on the CIC website. In your case, your scheduled trip is nearly two months away. So, it's best to just hold on and wait for a decision.

Sometimes it is possible that the visa office is making background checks from third party sources depending on the applicant's nationality, nature of employment, previous travel history, documents submitted, etc.... and this can delay a TRV decision

Don't worry :)

Thanks for the advice. We will just have to wait. I hope they give us an decision soon. If it's negative then we have time to reapply.

Hi Bryanne, i wonder if you can answer this question (based on your experience on this forum). we don't have any family/friend/work ties to Canada and are going purely on tourism purpose. Based on the proof we have submitted earlier (see my previous post), what do you think of the chances of acceptance? my husband has a consistence income and savings.

Hi,

Based on your posts, what will work in your favor:
1. A well planned itinerary with confirmed bookings for hotels, Airbnb, camping, flights, etc
2. Adequate finances to pay for the holiday
3. Employment ties to the UK

What you could've also included..... (but hopefully the documents you have already submittted will suffice):
Marriage certificate + copy of your passport + tenancy agreement + letter from the employer stating he'll have his job when he returns + family ties in the UK/Netherlands, etc

It can get a bit stressful waiting for a decision.... try not to think about it :)

Hope your husband gets a TRV soon

Hi Bryanna, sorry I keep typing Bryanne, don't know why ;D

yes I really really hope so. Well I have already prepared the documents you have suggested + more detailed itinerary in case it gets refused so we can re-apply immediately. I hope it doesn't get to that point. My ETA is also approved and I hope they will search my name in some system and put two and two together. anyhow, I will follow your advise and not think about it... :-\

thanks for you advise, i will keep you posted :)

LOL

Think positive.... stay hopeful.... you're getting way ahead of things :)

Yes, the visa office will put two and two together because your name/details will show up in the Family Information form

Cheers

Hello Bryanna, it's me again....

sorry I just couldn't stop thinking about the visa.. :( anyways.. I just want to know from you, based on your (own) experience here, if the VO is also taking the period between application date and travel dates into consideration when processing the visa application? We applied 3 months in advance and we have 8 weeks left and you said previously as the travel date is 30-Aug sending CSE might not help. So I was thinking maybe they make a decision 1 to 6 weeks closer to the travel date?

Hi again :)

No worries. Ask away!

A suggestion: If you don't get a decision by mid-next week then you can send a CSE.

No, the VO does not consider the application date and travel dates to give decisions. We've seen many people who got TRV decisions well after the reasons they were visiting for were over (convocations, weddings, etc)

BTW you can link your paper application to your online account.... for updates:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/link.asp

Cheers
