Documents to Show as proof of Separation

Hello

What are the documents that I can show as proof of separation to immigration officer.

Me and my spouse are living separately since 1.5 years and haven't officially applied for divorce yet. I indicated we are separated (not divorced) on my EE application and now I am being asked for proof of separation. Can you guys please suggest me what I need to do here?

If it is legal separation you would have a document. Is there a way to show that you both live separately. Like probably having a tenancy agreement or a bank statement showing that your addresses are different.

Providing paper works to prove that Divorce process has been started is sufficient enough, if I choose my marital status as Separated? Please help.
