Documents required for PCC in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India

I scheduled appointment tomorrow for PCC in Chennai, Tamilnadu
Please let me know what all are the documents required to carry for this.

Passport if you are staying at same address and you are apply PCC at same address.
If you are applying at a different address, then address proof.

I collected my PCC from Chennai last week.
I only carried my Passport, Self-Attested photocopy of Passport front and back pages

They didn't even ask for my ITA letter It took me 30 minutes, it was that easy

If you are living in the same address then only Passport will do otherwise you will need to carry proof of your address change.

I collected my PCC from Chennai last week.

Went to Passport office, Tambaram, Chennai yesterday.

Have to visit 3 different counters. Finally, Officer marked me "Await PV" (Await for Police Verification).
I supposed to wait for Police verification for at least a week now
Not sure what was the reason for PV, since I am staying in same address from my birth and got my 2nd passport without any PV
So the procedure will change for everyone (usually depends on Passport officer), don't be in the mindset that you will receive the PCC on same day.
Prepare for any time delay for PCC

I too wonder what is wrong in my case.
Contacted Customer care asking for the same, but they responded like for PCC Police Verification is mandatory
Its all depends on Officer's mood and attitude. Anyway, everything is happening for a reason
Have to wait for another week

Even I received my PCC on the same day. The entire process only took 30 minutes

I have booked an appointment for PCC for tomorrow. I have not even created EE profile and hence do not have ITA letter. Is ITA a must?

why would you get a PCC done if you dont have an EE yet? PCC is normally valid for 6 months so if you dont get your ITA soon it might be pointless.

My CRS score will be 451. I am waiting for my spouse's ECA. So if I create profile I will get an ITA (provided cutoff is below 451). I wanted to be prepared beforehand.

ok. ITA is not a mandatory document. just the passport and address proofs should suffice.

ITA is not must. I got mine without ITA. However, PCC is only valid for 6 months. So if you are sure you will get an ITA within this period go for it.

Went to the passport office in Pune today. Got my PCC (2 copies) within 30 mins. Only passport copy required as address on the passport is same as permanent address and current address.
