Documents required for minor crossing Canada - US Border

My daughter, a minor and a resident of UAE is visiting her aunt (Canadian citizen) in Vancouver. She has valid multiple entry visit visas to Canada and the United States - she plans to go to Seattle from Vancouver with her aunt by road. What documents (other than passport) are required while crossing Canada - US border and while returning from USA? My wife and I plan to give our daughter a consent letter to travel with her aunt - should this be notarized? Is there any specified format for the consent letter? Any other documents required?
