We have given our test in Edmonton CIC on mid Nov, 2013 (passed the test) and after one month two documents were requested (university transcripts & notice of assessment) using the form CIT 520 (10-2013) E. I would like to know is there any one have similar experience from Edmonton office, and any speculation about processing time (already 26+months passed since we applied) would be highly appreciated.

One of our family member's passport is also going to be expired soon, and we need to submit our existing passport to get a new passport for (5-6 weeks). In that case should we apply for the new passport or not as passport may be needed if we are scheduled for oath. I called CIC, and agent answer was not convincing. Please advise if you have any suggestion. Thanks.

See other thread. This is a new form possibly corresponding to a new process at CIC. We don't know much about it. There is really no way to tell at the moment how long they will take to process it or this differs from an RQ, etc.

Yes, it would be could if others who received this form could update their timelines. The person I know who got it, returned the requested documents in January and has heard nothing so far.

I am beginning to suspect there isn't a separate queue for people who received this form vs. those who get an RQ. It might not take as long as to review this material, but most likely your file is going to have to wait in the pile with other "non-routine" applications to be assigned to a citizenship officer for review. Meanwhile, your clearances will probably expire and have to be run again. Bottom line--its probably going to take a while.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
This could be the shorter version of RQ where CIC does not want piles of documents to be submitted. As I posted in other thread on "work documents under new 02-2014 version of application" that CIC in fact eventually like to have Notice Of Assessment as a credible work documents. Under the new law also NOA will be the must submit documents. Probably CIC giving more importance on NOA to proof residency and to eliminate RQ significantly in coming months.

"Recently completed our clearance." What does this mean? Do you know? FOSS, RCMP "clearances," etc? Or does this mean they have finished reviewing the documents you sent with your form CIT_520?

Finally, we took oath at Edmonton CIC on 20 May, 2014. Thanks every one for sharing own experience.
