As per IRCC website:

"
If one of your documents is in a language other than English or French, you must also upload:

• an English or French translation
• a certified photocopy of the original document
• an affidavit from the person who completed the translation (if they’re not a certified translator)"

I am residing in the US and have difficulties finding a translator who would take care of certifying that the document in original language is a certified "true copy". Can I take my document to a notary public and have them make a true copy of the document. And then attach that to the translation made by the translator?
