Hi All,
My parents and nephew will be visiting us for 2months during his summer vacation. I was trying to understand the paperwork required for my nephew based on our condition. Though I have seen Canada government website for details but hoping to get more guidance on their prior experience.

My sister is divorced and has full custody of my nephew. The father has rights of video call once every week and physical meet once per week. As per their court separation agreement it is mentioned that mother is allowed to take son outside of the country with 15days of advance notification to the father. Order also includes that physical meet will be adjusted accordingly and all interactions move virtually during the international stay. Though father have never made a physical visit but really not sure if that can be proved for visa application.

I am planning to attach following documents for nephew:
a. application form
b. letter of authorization by mother
c. permission letter by mother for travelling with grandparents
d. separation order
e. draft copy of letter to father of international travel
f. cover letter
g. mother's financial summary
h. invitation letter and my other imp docs.

Query:
1. please let me know if the documents are good enough.
2. what additional documents would help our case for grant of visitor visa.
3. If there is a format of letter of authorization and permission letter.

Apologies for long post!

I'm not sure what you mean by "draft copy of letter to father of international travel" but I know from experience a signed original letter is often asked for. When I dealt with the same situation i always had my ex notarize the letter giving permission for the trip, ncluding dates of travel.

And remember to specify length of stay in the invitation letter.

since, there is a requirement to inform the father, I am planning to submit a copy of the letter that we would write to the father informing abt travel.

I want to avoid taking permission as we have court permission.

I suggest you consult a lawyer regarding this point. I cannot offer legal advice but I know what has been required of me in the past.
