Hi all,

I'm getting all the documents together for reapplication process after my Mom's TRV was rejected last week. Wondering if i have everything rounded up. Just thought I'd quickly verify it with the forum.

Cover letter to the Visa officer
Letter of Invitation with an updated travel date
Travel itinerary, info on arrangements and her flight tickets to Canada.
Entire document checklist for visa paperwork

Do I need to attach my passport credentials and my husbands as we are inviting her?.

I understand her UCI number will be same as previous application or will this be considered a new application?.

Am I forgettting anything?.

Many Thanks,

IMO, apart from missing out on a whole bunch of basic documents, you have also missed out on including additional documents to prove your mom's strong ties to India.

I highly recommend you go through the Visitors section of the forum before you send in this application

Thanks Bryanna, I have a notarized affidavit from our Auditor indicating that she jointly owns a property together with my Dad. Also her Indian bank statements and FD deposits indicating her life savings. She has never worked before so unfortunately I couldn’t include that detail. Would this be sufficient enough to convince the VO?. I have other documents from the checklist as well. Also my Dad isn’t accompanying her in this trip so she has her spouse living in India and her return tickets from US to India are also available. So basically we are asking for 3 weeks in canada in during her temporary stay in US.

Thanks Bryanna, I have a notarized affidavit from our Auditor indicating that she jointly owns a property together with my Dad.
Affidavits don't work. She must include copies of the property ownership documents + latest property tax receipt + valuation done by yourselves or a professional (and include other evidence to support the valuation/indicative market rates considered).

As the property is co-owned by your dad, it's not really a strong tie to return to because he can take care of any property-matters in your mom's absence.

Also her Indian bank statements and FD deposits indicating her life savings.
As she cannot access these funds when she is in Canada/US, you would also want to include the bank statement of your brother who lives in the US + a Letter of Financial Support from him + copies of his immigration status in the US/his passport. You can include her India bank statements, FDs, etc too.

You could also include an invitation letter from yourself.... it's not advisable to mention that your mom will be visiting to see your baby/ take care of you/ any other similar statements. Instead, your mom must include a day-by-day itinerary of her plans when she visits (sightseeing, spending time with you and your family, etc) with expense estimates.

Also my Dad isn’t accompanying her in this trip so she has her spouse living in India and her return tickets from US to India are also available.
When are these tickets to India booked for? 5- 6 months from now? Or a few weeks after she returns to the US from Canada?

Can she include any must-return-to-event in the US that's scheduled shortly after her Canada visit?

1) yes we also have copy of the deed with her name on it as the co-owner. Also the affidavit has the most recent market evaluation of the property estimated to reflect value in $CAD.

2) I could ask my brother to include his details as well and she has an international debit card that’s she’s currently using..Though you’re right but her bank statements are all in INDs

3) her tickets back to India are booked for August. My brothers family have planned for sightseeing events for the family. No major family events though.

Thank you!
